Excuse me
/ikskiús mi/
Disculpe / perdone
Excuse me, is this the way to the station?
How do I get to …?
/jáu du ái get tu/
¿Cómo llego a …?
How do I get to the museum?¿Cómo llego al museo?
Could you tell me how to get to …?
/kud iú tel mi jáu tu get tu/
¿Podría decirme cómo llegar a …?
Could you tell me how to get to the bus station?¿Podría decirme cómo llegar a la estación de autobuses?
Is it far from here?
/is it far from jíer/
¿Está lejos de aquí?
Is it far from here to the beach?¿Está lejos de aquí hasta la playa?
Could you tell me…? es más educado que Where is…?, que sirve en la calle cuando tienes prisa o la persona parece conocer la zona. Para cerrar la conversación, di Thank you, that’s very helpful (Gracias, me ayuda mucho).

- It’s a five-minute walk. Está a cinco minutos andando.
- It’s a ten-minute drive. Está a diez minutos en coche.
- It’s a short walk. Está cerca, a poca distancia andando.
- It’s far.
- Decir turn to left. Es turn left, sin to.
- Decir in the left. Es on the left (a la izquierda). Para repasar cuándo usar in, on y at, tienes la guía de preposiciones in, on, at.
- Pensar que opposite siempre significa «opuesto». Para indicar un lugar, opposite es «enfrente»: It’s opposite the bank.
- Usar between con un solo lugar. Between necesita dos: between the bank and the café.
- Decir near of o next the. Es near the… o next to the….
